shinohai: Most disconnects have been manual. It does seem to hold connection well - much better than lispbot (and I can't for life of me figure out why).
asciilifeform: shinohai: iirc the orig. lisp bot had broken 'pingpong' handling.
shinohai: I tested whaack 's "no suicide on reconnect" patch but still simply died more often than I liked.
shinohai: fwiw I'm not giving up on lispbot, like you *I really want to like it* but want to get repeatable results out of it, etc.
asciilifeform: shinohai: fundamentally, if you have async multithreads, you gotta also have a lock in the message handler that'll force a ping from fleanoad to get answered immediately w/ 'pong', before bot emits anyffin else

shinohai: Same with new bot, when receives PING, immediately PONGs before anything else.
