mod6: Happy birthday alf!
lobbes: happy bday asciilifeform
Vexual: another trip around the sun? well done sir
shinohai: Virtually unscathed by the cosmic rays even.
shinohai: One hole, right in the FeNi! (*ba dum TISS)
BingoBoingo: Only have a week and a half until you venture in a machine designed to reduce the amount of air between you and the source of the rays.
Vexual: www.loper-os.org/pub/misc/xray/energ_small.jpg
Vexual: to digitize? or to expose?
Vexual: I just looked at the pictures. I'm sure as shit not going to repeat the experiment
Vexual: You made some nice images
snsabot: Logged on 2019-11-08 22:10:38 asciilifeform: BingoBoingo: and i admit that i'm looking forward to seeing folx grow hands in the process of trying to remake / do w/out , e.g. FG. i expect that diana_coman for instance will soon find out why i needed a microscope, and why it would have been pretty great to have the (such hated by mp) xray instrument when crates of subtly defective pcb's come in from factory.
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: India produces pretty much all of the world's medical supplies consumed outside the US. They probably do sufficient volume to refine their quality.
BingoBoingo: asciilifeform: Last time I was there, all the generic drugs were "Teva" outta Israel, but that may have changed.
BingoBoingo: Right, but they US also has that weird thing where they gotta fund their unsinkable aircraft carrier on the Mediterranean that for some reason can't stop drawing aggro
BingoBoingo: Here everything is Euro brands or India doing their patent pissing thing
BingoBoingo: Well... it's a soviet shithole like Uruguay... without the cows or the space to do cows.
Vexual: folks don't like dying these days alf
BingoBoingo: I thought the orthodox population breeding with rabbits did the cousin fucking thing. Hence their weird genetic conditions.
Vexual: i suspect adlai decided not to die that day too
snsabot: (trilema) 2019-03-01 asciilifeform: at one time did work that put'im in contact with these folx. met a d00d who, convincingly, described playing 'call of duty: iraq' on... lappy, in actual iraq
Vexual: engineer always stays behing to extricate machine. dangerous job
Vexual: can't read but i get it
Vexual: only just clicked on this. it's definitely worth looking at
Vexual: did you have some vodka?
Vexual: if you got a proper enlarger.
Vexual: i might be talking out of turn
Vexual: is this the guy with a new cr house?
Vexual: i'll solve myselft into a devilish pit
shinohai: 08:21:17 mal-bot #<Proc:0x0000562e855866c8@/home/malbot/mal-bot/core.rb:31 (lambda)>
shinohai: Yeah I saw it and kind lul'd ... I was experimenting with the bash version (which with a few tweaks is very nice for scripting)
shinohai: I managed to get it to perform a few bitwise ops, eg:
btcinfobot: BITWISE INCLUSIVE OR of a and b is: 93
btcinfobot: BITWISE EXCLUSIVE OR of a and b is: 85
shinohai 's main gripe is the clojure-like syntax heh
shinohai: I promise not to come and make provocative comments.
shinohai: I'm still trying to fix esthlos keccak ... it does build and work properly, but as I discussed w/ spyked cannot pipe stdin to it, can only read from file.
shinohai: I saw his post in logs on scheme bits for trb, will read posts when time permits.
jurov: asciilifeform: FG serial output is 5V or 3.3V ?
jurov: can't find usb serial cable, considering rpi which is 3.3V device
jurov: BingoBoingo: yours not yet
jurov: rpi has 5V Vcc pin to feed various "shields", it can surely do 3mA
jurov: yes, thx. and it it works, 7.3kB/s of fine distilled garbage :)
jurov: the second one works too
jurov: fun fact, rpi runs getty on /dev/ttyAMA0 by default... and it quickly segfaulted
