snsabot: (trilema) 2016-11-28 asciilifeform: ( in a much earlier even thread , about the marvell chipset used in pogotron, i found same thing -- the chip is simply not www-orderable in the west, at least not at any kind of price point that isn't a laugh when stood next to the price of whole pogo )
asciilifeform: afaik they dun have a Gb/s variant just nao. but marvell made 'pogo', did
asciilifeform: if you recall, my orig. 'pogo' experiment, where 1st static trb build, was exactly this kind of item -- busybux+kernel, weighed 5MB incl. trb.
shinohai: I still have soft spot for pogo for some reason, though was sad trb never was able to run on it :/

shinohai: Too late for the poor pogoplug :(
asciilifeform: when i was baking kernel+musl+trb for pogo , did end up 1 time using serial recover. it was a bitch, and afterwards decided 'these are too cheap to be worth spending whole hour to repair', but did not thereafter brick any moar
asciilifeform: jurov: outta curiosity, whatcha doing w/ ye olde 32bit/256MB pogo ?
jurov: sorry to revive zombies, anyone has successfully flashed pogoplug uboot and kernel? or you just boot from tftp?
shinohai: Also, did manage finally to find a stage3 that worx on pogoplug, used: stage3-armv5tel-20180831. (So now can possibly use this for own portage mirror or such)
danielpbarron: i don't think i ever got gentoo to work on a pogo
shinohai: danielpbarron: iirc you told me once you were able to at least chroot gentoo on pogoplug, any idea where I can locate a armv5te stage3? thx
asciilifeform: which is interesting, given as it's the slowest box i've ever ran trb on since 'pogo'
mats: asciilifeform: i forgot about the pogo, ill look over my notes
asciilifeform: shinohai: the old pogo experiment (see trb ml) was for arm. (and 'M' -- for mips)
