crtdaydreams: http://logs.nosuchlubs.com/log/asciilifeform/2022-02-10#1078670 << o. Eh, most of his essays are alright. But I'd put money on him having a malthusian stance to economics. There was this lulzy website I used to read pretty regularly on the top hackernews posts for each day weekly. n-gate.com Dunno, but maybe the writer met the maker?

dulapbot: (trilema) 2016-08-17 phf: Framedragger: i was young and a bum, i recognized all these people because my entertainment machine would reinforce their presence for me. "oh jwz is talking. oh now it's ptacek. oh it's paul graham! squee". but they were always in a different category from say norvig or knuth or naggum. once i started doing and learning (i.e. painfully read knuth, rather than just have him on my shelf) i finally was able to grok the difference.
dulapbot: (trilema) 2016-01-08 asciilifeform: 'Paul Graham is one of those plutocrats whose thirst to be recognized as a thoughtleader among his peers is obvious. For Paul Graham, Silicon Valley Ideology is the ideology America should run on, and ergo, being a puppet of Silicon Valley Ideology, Paul Graham thinks himself a political genius.'
whaack: howdy all
whaack: i'm back at the terminal, i should be pretty active for the next 15 days or so
