whaack: so i opted for the 'careful coding' method where i wrote it out, slept, proofread a couple of times, and went straight live
whaack: trbexplorer currently only queries trb for new blox every 45s, so if the fork is resolved within a 45s window then trbexplorer will not know it ever happened, so possibly there have been some orphaned blocks
billymg: i snagged pestnet.io, the old bitdash url now redirects to it. i plan to treat it like therealbitcoin.org, in that i'm not thinking of it as my site but instead that i'm maintaining it on behalf of people working on pest. as such, if anyone has feedback/suggestions please let me know

asciilifeform: thimbronion, jonsykkel , et al : had possibly interesting idea for auto-resolution of forks. record the first l1 peer via whom you received a hearsay bearing that speaker. the chain of the fork received via that peer is to be considered genuine.
asciilifeform: applies (unless asciilifeform miscalculates) recursively, to enforce '1st user owns the handle' across the pestnet.
asciilifeform invites folx to come up w/ a counterexample, in which algo bombs
