asciilifeform: the crapple arm is interesting because appears to have by far juiciest single-core performance of anyffin currently sold, and avail. with adult (up to 192G) ram + decent gpu. naturally not cheap tho
asciilifeform: ( also highest ram bw of anyffin currently sold, on acct of the devil's bargain of soldering it directly to cpu die )
asciilifeform: the biggest downer from asciilifeform's pov is that yer stuck with their idjit os (at least until sumbody gets the video working under a reasonable linux)

unpx[asciilifeform]: Suppose, for example, that two 80-digit1 numbers p and q have been proved prime; ... awt_akris[asciilifeform]: asciilifeform: it's possible that my address casts are reaching you from a different peer, but immediate messages are being dropped somewhere between our stations.
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: perhaps your isp doesn't like my isp?
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: or the other way around
asciilifeform: awt_akris: why would my at entry for you update in such a case ?
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: because you got my address cast
asciilifeform: currently : awt_akris [snipped]:1024 2023-07-20
asciilifeform: 14:30:30.451380
asciilifeform: awt_akris: waitasec, the dates on these update other than when an actual packet is received?! (in blatta)
asciilifeform assumed that the timestamp corresponds to last msg receipt...
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: I just re-added you as a peer
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: so haven't sent an AC for some time.
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: asciilifeform: no at is updated to the current date at the time the packet arrives, pretty sure.
asciilifeform: then defo not isp blackhole eh
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: afaik my station hasn't broadcast an AC since I re-peered you.
asciilifeform: for instance i'm able to ping anuther host on that subnet
asciilifeform: x.y.z.254
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: I can't ping your ip
asciilifeform: asciilifeform's router deliberately not answers icmp (it dun ping from dulap either)
awt_akris[asciilifeform]: currently my ip is x.y.z.191
asciilifeform: awt_akris's loox to be similarly config'd
asciilifeform: yea can see from at
