crtdaydreams[asciilifeform]: It's surprisingly difficult to find a working demo on e.g. youtube of Genera running on actual bolix iron that isn't a "gabriel_laddel" abomination.
crtdaydreams[asciilifeform|cgra]: "hey bro check out my lisp machine" "cool, what chipset?" "oh it's acktually just an acer lappy running an emulator, but potato potato"
crtdaydreams[asciilifeform|cgra]: like ffs, it's literally just a script binding qemu to X with a genera image

bitbot[asciilifeform]: Logged on 2023-01-21 21:27:16 phf[deedbot|awt]: it's highly unlikely i'll be able to find that fonts.conf in backups, but one would start with https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=fonts-conf&sektion=5&format=html
asciilifeform: crtdaydreams: nao if only the actually-working (i.e. w/out random crashes) emulator were even posted somewhere (afaik still not leaked)
asciilifeform: (not that it'd transform the laddelism into an actual lispm, lol)
asciilifeform: btw such lulcows are the reason why lispm keyboard is nearly unattainable nao (formerly dks sold'em for ~100$ a piece)
asciilifeform: for extra lulz, asciilifeform had 2 and gave'em away , despite having reversed the kbd and baked pc dongle for it before such a thing was published afaik anywhere
asciilifeform: ( for the innocent: the kbd aint 'clicky' and lacks arrows, and hence imho quite 'hair shirt' for use with general-purpose comp )
asciilifeform: naodays when they appear on e.g. ebay, they sell for 2-3k$. nfi if laddel market or folx with actual lispms who somehow ended up buying a unit sans kbd
asciilifeform personally, if still had an 'iron' lispm other than the macivory, would rather bake ~pc to lispm~ adapter than use the orig. kbd
asciilifeform: (or use via x11 as phf does)
cgra: CMU Serif font curiosity (on my machine at least): the "~" prints just below the cap line height, instead of cap line/baseline center
