jurov: BingoBoingo: you sent 1 BTC to my dedbot wallet a week ago, is that foundation equity in pizarro?
jurov: and what happened to foundation servers?
mod6: Yeah, the 1 BTC was repayment for the loan to Pizarro.
mod6: The server that was racked at Pizarro is to be sold, last I heard BingoBoingo was working on that. He's going to be paid a fee for selling it. It's not worth the money to ship it back to me in the states.
mod6: The other server is still in ben_vulpes' posession. I've been attempting to work with him to get it shipped to me. Which reminds me, I need to check back in with him on that...
mod6: That server, probably won't be racked, either. I'm having a hard time finding colo places near by that'll allow a single U to be installed. These ones up here seem to want you to buy half-a-cabnet.
mod6: So, meanwhile, I've been having discussions with DCs about dedicated servers for rent month to month to defacto replace one of the tbf servers.
mod6: Which raises another question ... because these places don't eat btc. So I'll probably be donating the hosting out of my own pocket.
mod6: Anyway, we'll see where it all goes. But if I can't find a suitable place for the 2nd server (in ben's possession currently) to be racked, maybe we place it up for sale.
BingoBoingo: jurov: It is. I've not yet found local interest in the foundation server.
BingoBoingo: jurov: Your FUCKGOATS should go in the mail Monday.
jurov: ty!
BingoBoingo: I've not had luck finding civilized tyvek envelopes, will likely end up reinforcing the envelope interior with packing tape
jurov coinsidered to joke about used underwear, decided against it
BingoBoingo: jurov: Plenty of that to be found here. Lots of used underwear and overwear for sale at the weekend street markets
asciilifeform: mod6: i orig. started w/ looking for 1u hosting. they charge ridiculous prices. half-cab is in practice smallest unit sold w/out laughable mark-up.
BingoBoingo: What I'm guessing is that for anything less than a lockable fraction of cabinet, the markup is for the hassel of putting multiple folks in the same berth
